Suddenly I felt firefox is not the best web browser after all. Snapshot on my pc showing a running process of Opera. For a pc not so much resource, opera is the best and yet it is efficient and running great. But it does not matter wether your pc running high or low resources, memory management on every application has to be to the minimum level esspecially when my firefox is in the idle state.

Take a look at the running process of my firefox. Its three times more memory taken than it was on opera. I guess people need to change their mindset. Its time to change.

No doubt image viewer apps plays quite an important role in our daily routine. As in windows I pretty much like irfanview to view all the pictures. Ubuntu as by default comes with the eyes of gnome, which is is the official image viewer for the GNOME Desktop environment. With it, you can view single image files, as well as large image collections. I tried to work around with the eyes of gnome but it turns out it is only good to just what it claims to be, to view images. It would be nice if you could do some simple image editing.

Open office is not that bad after all it does everything that microsoft office can, except it just dont look and feel like one. When you’ve been too long with Microsoft apps you find it quite hard to leave it untouchables. But hey! what you expect from the free apps? But we should put more appreciation to all the the programmers all over the world for their hardwork.

Overall Hardy and the rest of the free bundled apps works great. How about you guys, what will it be? ready to switch to linux?
