Get Extra Information with Interclue

interclue.jpg

Another notable firefox addon for download, Interclue is the ultimate link augmentation multitool. Our goal is to provide you with excellent previews, useful extra information and relevant next actions for almost any given link on any given page.

Interclue tries hard to stay out of your way when it’s not needed. Interclue usually won’t show clues on internal site navigation, because such links tend to be closely packed and tooltips will often just get in the way without really adding much value.

Interclue works really well on Most search engines, local site searches,Google Reader, Bloglines, gmail. Del.icio.us, Digg, other social bookmarking sites, Bugzilla and Trac ticketing systems.I nterclue does all of its page summarization work inside the browser, so there is no security risk involved in using it on your intranet - although you may need to turn it on from the status bar, Interclue is turned off by default on all https sites.

TrueCrypt is a software system for establishing and maintaining an on-the-fly-encrypted volume. On-the-fly encryption means that data are automatically encrypted or decrypted right before they are loaded or saved, without any user intervention. No data stored on an encrypted volume can be read (decrypted) without using the correct password/keyfile or correct encryption keys.

It creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk and encrypts entire partition or storage devicesuch as USB flash drive or hard drive. Drives where Windows is installed also can be encrypted with pre-boot authentication which means that anyone who wants to gain access and use the encrypted system, read and write files stored on the system drive, will need to enter the correct password each time before Windows starts. Pre-boot authentication is handled by the TrueCrypt Boot Loader, which resides in the first cylinder of the boot drive.

System encryption provides the highest level of security and privacy, because all files, including any temporary files that Windows and applications create on the system partition are always permanently encrypted even when power supply is suddenly interrupted. Windows also records large amounts of potentially sensitive data, such as the names and locations of files you open, applications you run, etc. All such log files and registry entries are always permanently encrypted as well.

TrueCrypt volumes can be encrypted using the following algorithms aes,serpent,twofish,aes-twofish, and even with combination of aes-twofish-serpent for the paranoid ones. rueCrypt never saves any decrypted data to a disk – it only stores them temporarily in RAM (memory). Even when the volume is mounted, data stored in the volume is still encrypted. When you restart Windows or turn off your computer, the volume will be dismounted and files stored in it will be inaccessible (encrypted). To make them accessible again, you have to mount the volume and provide the correct password or keyfile.

Firefox 3.0 Beta 3!!! Download Now

firefox-30-beta-3.jpg

Mozilla has just made Firefox 3, Beta 3 available for download. Intended for testers and those who wants to live on the edge, Firefox 3 improved its memory issues than its predecessor. Without a doubt the most visible change introduced in this beta are the theme updates in all platforms. On Windows XP and Vista, a large part of the planned new XP icons has been added to the main toolbar.

The back and forward buttons have been combined in a single keyhole-shaped widget featuring a single history menu. So far just Windows XP and Vista feature it but Mac OS X and Linux versions are ready and waiting to get in. The Home button has been moved to the Bookmarks toolbar by default and the splitter that allows to resize the search and location bars when placed next to each other has become invisible. Mac OS X users get integration with Growl, a popular centralized notification system, while Windows Vista gets native looking menus and new icons that should be added for the next beta.
