World Strongest Encryption
Published June 21st, 2007A new encryption technology called CipherUnicorn-A which is developed by NEC claims to be the strongest encryption technology ever invented. It is based on common key encryption, where a single key is used for encoding and decoding. In most common key, a randomly master key size 128 bit is first created for encrypting and decrypting file. But this method is not used in this new developed encryption systems.
The system generates a intermediate key of several thousand bits from the master key and use as the base for the encryption process. The program first breaks the file into a form of multiple data blocks and each data block is encrypted with different key picked from inside of the intermediate key and strongly based on the characteristics of the data being encrypted. For extra layer of security key used for encryption vary from 128, 192 and 256 bits.
In order to crack a file which encrypted with CipherUnicorn, crackers need to crack multiple key of unknown length of key for the file to be decrypted. It is said to be 37,000 quadrillion trillion time more secure than current DES - based system - phew…… who would want to do that?
